MCCAT:
Media Language:
Conventions:
Creativity:
Attention to detail:
Technical Proficiency:
Positive Comments:
Cinematography
~ Good steady shots
~ Good shots of people being interviewed
Mise-en-scene
~ good use of different background
~ good use of natural settings
Lighting
~ Good bright/clear lighting used could see all the footage taken
~Natural lighting
Sound
~ The sound was clear as you hear everything what people were saying
~ Natural sound, Microphone was used well
Conventions/matching audience?
~ The audience can relate to the people in the vox pops
~Range of people were being interviewed
Constructive Criticism:
Cinematography
~ Need to use a tripod when doing vox pops getting steady shots
~ Lacking a variety of shots
Mise-en-scene
~ Visit more town areas
~ Use a variety of locations
Lighting
~ You can’t see the person as the light is too much in the person face.
~ Lighting could be brighter
Sound
~ could hear background noise such as noise of cars
~ Microphone needs to be away from the person as the sound is not so good
Conventions/matching audience?
~ Interview more educated people
Suggestions and ideas:
What else would you (or the target audience) like to see in this production? (scenes? sequences?)
~ A montage sequence; a range of opinions form all ethnicities, voice over and cut up footage into sections.
~ More interviews of a professional and maybe having archive footage in the documentary may be good.
Suggestions for post-production/editing (music? voiceover? cutaways? montage? cross cutting? titles? slo-mo?)
~ Include some sad/emotional songs to shows this is an emotional subject.

Progress report
- We had a change of character as our other character couldn’t film this week, but we managed to get our selves another character which is good news.
- We have done most filming with our new character, we have completed most of our storyboard which is interviews with a teacher, parents and Haley asking their views on ADHD.
- Me, Jelly and Binu went to see Dr robin on Monday ...unfortunately i didn’t turn the mike on...sooo we got footage of him ...buh we cant hear him....:(:(....soo i booked another appointment on Monday with him soo we can re-shoot. However, when we saw Dr robin he helped us soo much understanding ADHD better and answered our key question woohoo!
- We have got different scene with Haley such as a bedroom, playground, living room scene therefore most of our production is nearly done....soo the question is what’s left????......basically, we jus got to re- shoot Dr Robin again!!!!!!

A twist!!
Many people think ADHD is a fraud because they believe that children are naturally meant to be be a bit loud and hyper however some argue that this is a disorder because having lack of concentration is not part of a child's healthy lifestyle.
i also did some research on how ADHD is actually diagonosed, and this how it is; The following ADD / ADHD Adult Self Report Scale (ASRS) questionnaire can be used as a starting point to help you recognize the signs/symptoms of Adult ADHD but is not meant to replace consultation with a trained healthcare professional. An accurate diagnosis can only be made through a clinical evaluation. Regardless of the questionnaire results, if you have concerns about diagnosis and treatment of Adult ADHD, please discuss your concerns with your physician. (This Adult Self-Report Scale (ASRS) Screener is intended for people aged 18 years or older.) Are you living with Adult ADHD? The questions below can help you find out

Blog comments
What do you particularly like about it? What's especially impressive?
What could be improved? What's missing or could be added?
2. Based on what you've read on the blog (and maybe seen in test screenings in class) what suggestions do you have regarding what we could do to make our Practical Production really successful?
What other things could we include in the production?
How should we go about filming any remaining scenes or editing the footage during post-production (+ suggestions for music, etc.)?

So FaR...
- I made an appointment with Dr Robin on 19th feb, whilst talking to him on the phone, he knows a lot about ADHD as he deals with many patients who contain this disorder, and knows a lot of background info.
- We have finished our vox pox, asking the question ' what is ADHD', we have asked a variety of people showing a good understanding of the subject.
- We were suppose to film Hayley in a classroom scene last week, but looks like we didn't achieve to get there, therefore we have to complete the classroom scene with ms Cole this week, as she is happy to star in our production.
- As a group we wanted to get a professional voice over, i e-mailed BBC 1, Channel 4 and five... i received a mail back from five saying that we are able to get a professional voice over......BUT.....we got to pay £250....so the idea of getting a professional voice has vanished. Therefore we will test out all three of our voice and who ever voice seems the most professional will be doing the voice over.
- This week we need to start shooting our main story line which is Hayley ... on monday we will begin with doing a playground and classroom scene.

Preparation of practical production - Wild disorder
1. Intro – showing on BBC 1 (people dancing) research openings for programmes form ideas
2. Voice pox asking people ‘What is ADHD?’ – we want to create an authenticity by making people not know what this disorder is as it is not very common
3. Types of shots included in scene one
- Close up
- Long shots
- Fast edits
- Cuts
- Shots used such as fade, pan ect.
The last person shown on the voice pox is a psychiatric who will tell us the definition of ADHD.
Scene two
* We will introduce our main character who is a 13 year old girl called Hailey which suffers from ADHD
* Hailey will be shot in the school playground – there will be a voice over introducing her whilst the camera is focusing on other children in the playground. When the voice over has finished introducing Hailey we will zoom the camera into Hailey and final show who she is.
* A song will be playing whilst the character is being introduced.
Scene three
Ø This will be a shot of a classroom when Hailey is shown to be much disrupted and very talkative.
Ø Do not pay close attention to details;
Ø Don’t stay focused on play or school work;
Ø Don’t follow through on instructions or finish school work or chores;
Ø Can’t seem to organize tasks and activities;
Ø Get distracted easily; and Lose things such as toys, school work, and books
We will show some of these things in our scene three as they will show Hailey to have this disorder well.
Scene 4
- Run over car scene – we have looked at other adverts such as ‘pay attention when crossing roads’
- We will show how Hailey is careless and doesn’t seem to bother about the things around her as she runs into the road, but she doesn’t die as the car stop close by her.
- This scene will have many long shots of young teenagers
Scene 5
* In our documentary we want to film a professional to make the documentary have a realism effect.
* Therefore we are interviewing Mr Beckles Hailey councils as he will tell us the ins and outs of ADHD
* As interviews do tend to get boring whilst Mr Beckles is talking we will focus the camera on Hailey to make the documentary more interesting
* We will have a sound bridge going on to the next scene
Scene 6
- To end the documentary we will answer our key question which is ‘is this disorder inherited or is it a form of socialisation?’
- We will debate at the end
- We will show medical evidence what doctors say that there is no cure or some says that this is not even a disorder
- Final at the end of the production we will provide help lines were suffers can talk to someone
